About Caroline Thomas

Caroline Thomas is a photojournalist based in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She is a stringer for AFP and works with media outlets, NGOs and the UN as a photographer, multimedia journalist and communications adviser.
Recent clients include the BBC, Save the Children UK, the World Health Organization, UNIFEM, the Born Free Foundation, the Solutions journal,  ActionAid, UNICEF, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the RSPB, the Oxford Business Group, the Conservation Society of Sierra Leone and the British High Commission in Sierra Leone.
Earlier this year, a selection of Caroline's photographs were displayed at the British Council in Freetown as part of an exhibition celebrating Sierra Leone's 50th Anniversary of Independence.
Caroline was also the official photographer for HRH Princess Anne's visit to Sierra Leone.
Caroline also runs photography courses for individuals and in-house staff including 'Using your DSLR', 'Basic Composition' and 'Photography for NGOs'.
